Unfortunately, you do not explain what version OEM you are having problems with, however I guess it's version 2. This version uses a repository, that may be on a remote machine. You are actually required to logon to this repository, not to the database you want to administer. The logon to the machine you want to administer is done from within the repository/OEM stuff.

As far as I recall, you set this userid password once during installation of OEM. This is the repository uid/pswd.

On a 48MB NT WS with a local repository, it takes minutes to get OEM fired up...

Hope this helps. Try to give as much details as possible in the future, e.g.versions, error codes, etc.
