I had a tough time also. After initial install, I cannot start the listener. After applying the patch, when I start svrmgrl, and connect through internal, it started asking for password. After talking to some people, I thought I had it resolved. But the password problem came back. I do not know what is going on. I probably will blow away Oracle home and re do again. That's gotta be my 4th or 5th time installing this thing. I have used 8i on SUN and HP. Never had this many problems. Oh, try to get WebDB to work. Does not even have an installation program. You have to do that manually.
