SQL*NET on Oracle 8i server?

Newbie question:



I have Oracle 8i server set up on Solaris 2.6, with Net8 installed and
working.


I have an application that does not seem to work with Net8 and calls
for SQL*Net 7.3x


Is there a way to uninstall Net8 and install SQL*Net 7.3.x without
screwing up the server.


Is this a completly stupid request??
