newbie questions

Hi,

i'm new to oracle. I would like to know. 1. If i have a file (containing the "FULL" database export), do i need those tables ready (without any data) to accept the FULL import. Or, does the import generate those tables without tables being created at the first place.

2. Is it possible to restore database at the new NT server. Both backup and restoring will be on the same platform (NT) but different PC. If yes, what should I do?

3. How to move a database (fastest way) from one platform to other platform, eg. NT to AIX?
