I haven't heard of this specific case but i do know you have to ask yourself two questions:

Is the Sun Solaris Machine Compliant, and OS software...

Which parts of Oracle do you wish to know about, just the server? You could be running Oracle 7.3.4 server but have earlier versions of SQL*NET, on the clients...
