There is actually alot of discussion on RAID and its configuration. Really, only you can answer your question - armed with all of the relevant information of course. I would suggest taking a couple of hours and reading some interesting articles I found on RAID at http://www.sunworld.com once there - do a search for RAID. Some very good articles.
