I've just install a trial version of Oracle 8 and look like thin JDBC
driver doesn't work. For all supplied examples I get error "End of TNS
data channel", when tried open connection. I can see message in TNS
log on server side that the driver successfully established
connection. I tried different version of thin driver including the
last one 8.1.6. Did somebody meet a similar problem. We are thinking
about dropping supporting Oracle database, because we have no problem
with others like Microsoft's, or Sybase's.
