About my NT workstation 4.0 with 80mb... I rememberI had more problems with this. It was real slow, and I had some problems creating the database. Then I bumped up my virtual memory from 0 - 92mb to 200 - 300mb. I don't know if it was a combination of this and also using the correct parameters for my init<SID>.ora file that did the trick, but it (finally) worked. I've upgraded to 128mb of RAM since then.
But the installation most likely came with some problems, as you can see on my other posting about cmadmin.exe
