Well, Ritschie, youre might be right but, Oracle Patches are only available
for Oracle 8.0.5.E.E. This must be the Enterprise Edition. I have loaded the
Oracle trial release
from Oracle.COM. This is pre-linked with the glibc20 instead the actual used
glibc21. A new installation
from the original cdrom (original oracle trial cdrom) or the downloaded
version will not been successfully relinked.

build the first database.
There is'nt any patch available for 8.0.5.0.0 and the available patch does'nt
usable for 8.0.5.0.0.
