Server Manager/sqlplus problem

Hi,

I have several Sun Solaris boxes (2.5) and Oracle 7.3.3. All of them are running fine execpt one. Whenever I use svrmgrl or sqlplus and exit, it will not return to system prompt unless I press ctrl-C.

This poses a problem as I could not use any scripts to do backup, housekeeping jobs etc.

Is there a solution or workaround?
