Hi,



I have been asked to switch on asynchronous i/o on a 7.3.4 database on
AIX 4.2.1. I,m reluctant to do this as the disks are RAID 5 and I think
there will be no improvement as the disks will cause a bottleneck. Does
anyone have any thoughts or experiances with async i/o ?
