I don't remember if this was the reason they make sure you have JRE
installed... Just a clip from technet:
Download and install JRE 1.1.6 v5 from http://www.blackdown.org. Install the
JRE in any directory and create a symbolic link from /usr/local/jre to
<jre_install_location>/jre116_v5
