ORA-00604: Unable to delete a type object...

We are running Oracle 8.0.5.0 on AIX 4.3.2 with Objects and Advanced Queueing objects.

We declare type objects in a database and sometimes as we try to delete them the database gets corrupted. Several references on these objects are kept in the internals of the database. Then we are unable to recreate an object with the same name in this database. We get : "ORA-00604: error occured at recursive SQL level 1"

We have to recreate the database...

As we were trying to investigate around the problem we have noticed that these objects disappear from ALL_OBJECTS view but are still present in SOURCE$ and other internal Oracle tables.

  Any idea ?

  Thanks, Damien.
