duplicate queries in v$sql

Why do I have some queries listed multiple times in v$sql ? Same hash_value same sql_text, multiple records.

Is this a problem? It just caused a bit of panic when I thought someone was running a report 10 times simultaneously.

On that note there were still at least 5 instances running the report even though the user claims he only submitted it once and the web client timed out anyways. Is there some reason the query would be duplicated like that? This is under MTS.
