Hi friends,


What is the name format for alert$ORACLE_SID.log. I am having different
convention on NT and UNIX.


  Oracle 8.0.5 , %ORACLE_SID%alrt.log  --- (This file is created on NT)
  Oracle 8.0.5,  alert_${ORACLE_SID}.log  -- (This file is created on UNIX)



Or is it standard difference on NT and UNIX based Oracle?



Any ideas?
