Unix shell scripts on NT

Subject: Unix shell scripts on NT

Is anyone aware of a utility that will process Unix shell scripts on NT? I recently purchased the book “Oracle Scripts” by Lomasky & Kreines and it is very Unix-centric, all of the scripts written for Unix. The authors have few paragraphs on porting to other platforms, but about all they say is it should be no big deal. Pretty cavalier attitude when you consider that a lot of Unix utilities have no equivalent in NT, much less the translation effort involved for someone not versed in Unix. There is an EXE file called TOUNIX.EXE that sounds promising, but there is no reference to it in the book or any of the on- disk docs.

Has anyone else already solved this problem?
