Do you know anything about oracle on NT ?

My NT takes much more time than my Unix machine to make the connects to the Database. When i connect to the unix it takes 0.3 secs. When i do the same to a Windows NT with the same DB it takes about 1.4 to 2 secs.

When i use prespawning of connects it is usually faster but oracle support told me this aint a good option because when i will get a lot of connects the DB will fall back in his old habit.

So my question is : "Do you know how i can make it faster ?"

thx in advance
Yves
