jdeveloper and oracle8i

Hi,
I'm trying to deploy an EJB to an Oracle 8i server following the steps written in the jdeveloper help. The IIOP connection is Ok, and I can see the standard jserver installed on 8i with no problem. During deploying i receive an "Unrecognized error during deployment" while the script is invoking the Oracle 8i deployment utility (it stops to "void java.lang.thread.run())
Any suggestion???
