Export from Solaris import to NT fails

I have a couple of export files that were created on Oracle 8i under Solaris 2.6. When I try to Import them into an Oracle NT database the Imp program reports:

Connected to: Oracle8 Enterprise Edition Release 8.0.5.0.0 - Production PL/SQL Release 8.0.5.0.0 - Production
export file created by EXPORT:V08.01.05 via conventional path . importing SYSTEM's objects into ICC_STATE IMP-00008: unrecognized statement in the export file:   #
IMP-00008: unrecognized statement in the export file:
IMP-00008: unrecognized statement in the export file: ....

I was thinking that maybe the RECORDLENGTH needs to be changed, but I'm not sure if it should be changed during the export, import, or both. If anyone has experience moving data from Solaris to NT please let me know what worked for you. Also, the export files are not corrupted (i.e. the import works fine going from Solaris to Solaris.)

Thanks
