need help setting up connect string

Hello,



I installed  Oracle 8i Enterprise version that I got through oracle technet
on my Windows NT machine. I want to connect to it through odbc. What is the
connect string that I need to use.


The database is local.



Please help me in setting up a service name and connecting to the local
database.
