I already tried it...
I´ve got a 8.0.5 -> 8.0.5.1 upgrade patch and I´m not sure it works very well

error during upgrade patch installation : root_at_dbserver:/oracle/installdisk > zcat linux_80510patchset.tgz | tar
-x

zcat: linux_80510patchset.tgz: decompression OK, trailing garbage ignored

does the tgz file have a problem??

first (!) error during linux patch installation :

root_at_dbserver:/oracle/installdisk > zcat /home/oracle/oraclepatch/oracle8051-su
se62/patch.gz | patch -p1
patching file bin/genclntsh
can't find file to patch at input line 25 Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option? The text leading up to this was:

|diff -uNr install-8.0.5.1EE.orig/ctx/lib/env_ctx.mk install-8.0.5.1EE/ctx/lib/e
nv_ctx.mk
|--- install-8.0.5.1EE.orig/ctx/lib/env_ctx.mk  Thu Feb 11 23:08:11 1999
|+++ install-8.0.5.1EE/ctx/lib/env_ctx.mk       Mon Aug 16 17:31:51 1999

can anyone help me?
