Are you sure to use Net80 on the client side too?

Give a look to the ORACLE_HOME\Net80\admin directory to check if the easy config has really modified the right tnsnames.ora file.

If not copy the tnsnames.ora from ORACLE_HOME\network\admin to the right directory.
