Is a LOB the right data-type to store formatted text in Oracle?

My project has to kick out specific letters based on customer type. The letters are in Word Perfect Format.

Also the program must merge header info such as addressee, city, state, zip, etc from a database table into this letter.

Can Oracle do this??

Thanks

Scott
