Easy way to find total uptime ?

Hi There,

 I need to supply information about the Oracle database up-time.  Where can i find this info in the database ?

 I need to present info about the availability of Oracle !!!

Can i do something with V$thread or V$timer ?

The management wants to know the total uptime + total downtime !!!
