Since 2 days we have problem of performance.... our configuration is:

    dell 6300 (2 CPU, 1Go Ram, 50Go disk with RAID5)     Linux REDHAT 5.2
    Oracle 8.0.5
    Database dump 1,2 Go
    70 users simultaneous

Other information is that we didn't make any change since10 days the last change was to add a datafile (for a tablespace) of 1 Go Request take a lot of time for insert in a table of 300k records... Is there anybody in the Oracle community have that kind of problem: the hard drive is "sleeping", no swap, no network problem, but the CPU is use at 200%!!!!!!! all the oracle ratio are correct..... any other idea where to look ....
do you know if linux redhat5.2 have problem with big files!!!!!..

please help us.....
