Hi folks!
Im using a 8.1.5 with NT 4 SR 3. I have imported the contents of a 8.0.5 DB (Full Import after Installing 8.1.5 without deleting Tablespaces - destroy=yes). Now there´s a fummy behavior. Every query produces one ore more new entries into the process table (v$process) until the limit ( process parameter in init.ora) is reached. After reaching the limit there´s no possibility to logon ( ORA-00020 maximum number of processes exeeded). Existing sessions do still work - now without producing new processes.
Ok - I think my way of import was not the correct choice.
- Do I have to reinstall or is there an other way to get my DB to a
correct behavior?
- If I have to reinstall: How can get a correct import from 8.0.5 to
8.1.5
