Do you have any metal support? If so, just call Oracle and they will help you.

I went through the process fairly recently myself. It wasn't much of a big deal. Basically all you do is run orainst and just answer the prompts. You really should get the platform-specific upgrade guide though because it may give you important information that you need for your OS.
