ORACLE 8 and SQL*FORMS30

Using SQL*FORMS 3.0, an invalid date 'DD-MM-0000' (Julian 0) can be inserted into a column of type DATE in ORACLE 8.0.5 database. Can someone explain this? SQL*FORMS 3.0 is probably bypassing the conventional sql processing and using some 'direct-load' OCI call. Received on Tue Aug 31 1999 - 19:51:46 CDT
