Hi there,

svrmgr fails to start up with message
"oracle: error in loading shared libraries: libobk.so: cannot open shared
file or directory"

I do have a line with my oracle lib path in /etc/ld.so.conf file and I have run ldconfig ....however.....

ldconfig returns the following error

"ldconfig: warning: can't read header from
/ora1/app/oracle/........lib/libdsbtsh8.so"

That files exists but it's empty (0 bytes), and libobk.so is a link to libdsbtsh8.so

I gather as much as the zero byte file is a problem but how did this happen? Do I have to restart he oracle installation from scratch in order to rebuild this file or could I download it from somewhere?

I'm running on RH 6.0.

Hope somebody can help.

Cheers,

Alain. Received on Mon Aug 30 1999 - 09:22:03 CDT
