You want to make sure you have your Oracle environment variables setup correctly. The version 2.0.4 OEM client gets installed in it's own ORACLE_HOME. Make sure the ORACLE_HOME, TNS_ADMIN, LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH variables are setup for your 8.1.5 environment.
