Setting the SHMMAX to 16Mb, is not enough when it is Oracle8i, and if you also have choose to install the Java part, SHMAX should be set to at least 128Mb, and you must at least 256Mb physical memory in the server. (According to the install Guide the minimum requirement are 128 Mb RAM, but this not enough)
