Take a good look at database links. I'll assume that you mean to pull or push data in real time. Links will allow one to almost transparently refer to or modify data in another instance as if it were "local".

Of course, if a rough database replication scheme is all that you need, then an export/import sequence might be suitable for you. This technique, of course, will not be real time.
