What is that known problem? You should have told me that before I installed Oracle
on my RH 6.0 system with GNOME. My RDBMS is up and running, as well as GNOME.
Here is my setup:
Linux gogi 2.2.11 #4 Sun Aug 15 13:40:02 EDT 1999 i586 unknown

As I am running GNOME, I would really like to know what problems should I expect. I haven't had any so far. I'm cheerfully using OCI and Perl/Tk to connect to Oracle and except some minor problems (incorrect protection of proc executable, needed to perform chmod o+x $ORACLE_HOME/lib
manually) all my programs have worked. I'll test external procedures this weekend.
