Hi,
I just downloaded a trial copy of Oracle8 and loaded it on a linux box (w/ RH 6.0). I'm new to setting up databases and such, but it seems to be running fine. I have two questions.

1.) I want to import my data from MySQL to the new ORACLE db. I understand that I must use SQLloader, but I am unsure how to do so. I have a file (file.txt) that has raw data in it and would like to use it in ORACLE. How do I do this?

2.) I'm also looking for a good ORACLE (beginner up through intermediate) manual. Any suggestions?

Paul
