application developers

Hi everyone

Let me introduce myself first of all.

My name is Martin I am a final year student in Leeds England.

For my final year project I choose to develop a tool which would aid

Oracle Application Developers in accessing the data dictionary insted of

using scripts to do so.

In order to justify the need for such tools I need the feed back from

developers or DBA's who also carry out a development role to answer the

following questions

· What do you feel are the main areas of difficulty when accessing the

data dictionary during the development of a database.

Do you have to keep a library of scripts to hand?

· What do you feel your role is within the database environment and for

which tasks are you responsible.

· What would you find most useful in a tool developed specifically for

Application developers.
