Oracle 8.0.5 for Linux and dns

Hi !

I have noticed a strange effect with one of our linux-oracle boxes. Process hangs during connection to oracle for several minutes. strace shows that it was trying to connect to one of the name servers which was unavailable at the moment. This nameserver was the last one in the recolv.conf and was responsible for outer world. The problem was noticed only on one computer. Is it oracle or linux problem?
