Hi Paul,

to install 8.0.5.0 or 8.0.5.1EE on Red Hat 6.0 you need to perform the installation without creating a database ("Install Do Not Create DB Object"), dnload the glibcpatch.tgz from technet.oracle.com, apply it and then create a database either through orainst or custom scripts.
