Connecting SQL*Net and Net8 (Apache and Oracle)

Hi folks,

We have an Oracle 8 server accesses by Apache server through SQL*Net which is installed on the Apache server, is there any incompatibility between the two? Or do we have to install Oracle 8 Client on the Apache side?
