I have also almost the same problem too : On NT4 SP5, OAS V4.0.7, Orb doesn't work at all !!!

When trying to use the graphical interface, I got : 'Waiting for ORB to be ready....ORB not responding, please restart manually...'

And when trying to use the owsctl command line utility, I got ( whatever tha argument ):
The instruction at "0x00255fe7" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".

My yt40.dll dated from october 9th 1998 (even if I've downloaded OAS 2 weeks ago !), I haven't managed to find the 4.0.7.1 patch (with the new yt40.dll). Could you tell me where to find it (precisely, I haven't found it on Metalink and Technet) ? Or send me the patch or the yt40.dll file ?
