Help on installing oracle 8i on sun sparc ultra-1

I am beginner on oracle database. Recently I tried to install the oracle
8i on


a sun sparc workstation with 256MB of memory. Installation went through
quite


well. But when I tried to start the database instance in the svrmgrl, I
get out of


memory error (ORA-27102). I just wonder why?



Any of your input will be much appreciated.
