Hi,

How do I set a run time limit for long queries ?

I have some long queries that are sent from a Cold Fusion page on a Tennessee web server to a remote Oracle 8.1.5 database in Nebraska.

Sometimes, a query will take many minutes rather than seconds to run and prevents, or at least inhibits the use of other queries on that Oracle server. So of course, the DBA in Nebraska wants a solution, he would like to set a run time limit to the queries that we submit.

Thanks,
Rock Cogar. DBA
