Re: Can not allocate log, archival required

I am not an NT person (UNIX all the way!), but Oracle is Oracle. This message means that your database is in archivelog mode, but it can't switch logs because none of the previous logfile groups has been archived. Maybe the place where you are trying to write your archived redo logs is full or non-existent.
