Oracle 8i and SGI Origin 200 Server

Need some advice on Origin 200 and Oracle, any information or insight would be awesome.

2 270 Mhz 4mb cache, 1 GB of ram and a legasys RAID cabinet with 200 GB of storage. Will be a the database server for E-commerce site with expected traffic of 3 to 5 k people per day.

So here is the 72,000 dollar question,

are we making a mistake??
