The infamous 2GB File Size limitation is present on Solaris 2.5.1 and earlier and is fixed on the later versions..

But Remember Oracle 7 too , has this limitation and is fixed only in 8.0.5 and later..

Work around involves using Compressing ( Use Gzip for better compression than 'compress') a named pipe (special device) to which Export feeds the Data.

Feed the Uncompressed Pipe for the Import Process to Recover...
