How big should the SGA be

I have a Sun 450 with 2 processors, 1 GB memory, 10 4GB and 10 9GB hard drives with no RAID.

How big should the SGA be if I need to support large a small transactions? Large might be 1 to 5 million rows.
What block size should I use?
How big should the Database Buffer, Redo Log Buffer, Dictionary Cache, and Shared SQL Pool be?
How many DBWR_IO_SLAVES, LGWR_IO_SLAVES, and ARCH_IO_SLAVES should I have?

I as thinking about the following:

With 8K block sizes, could I have let say 50,000 blocks of database buffer and 20 DBWR_IO_SLAVE processes.

Does this make sense?
