Problems with Legato Storage Manager

Hi,
I am using Legato Storage Manager which came with Oracle8.0.5 Enteprise Edition.
The server is NT server 4.0 (service pack 3) I have installed Seagate 4mm Tape Drive Model Number : STT38000A. Now the problem is that while setting the Media Label it throws an error saying
write open error:no error
I have configured the server and the client as per the instructions in the Manuals and the tape drive is also getting recognised.

I am not able to mount the tape without labelling it.

Any help towards solving this problem will be appreciated.
