We haev got an application that when logging on to Oracle 7 with the 16 bit driver authenticates the Database and loggs you in.

The following security problem with this has arised.

Say there are two users set up as follows

Username User A Password Pass A
Username User B Password Pass B

1 Log on to our application as User A and PassB. 2 Get the Oracle Logon box due to authentication failure, enter User B and Pass B.
3 Now I am in the application as User A even without entering their password for authentication.

Does anyone knwo how to disable the oracle pop up box when the authentication failes or is there another way to go about this?

Any comments appriciated.
