Re: My first Oracle installation....yup, having problems!

Just an FYI to all. I just went through this same sequence of errors on a Solaris installation. Though a difficult problem to track the final answer lied in /var/tmp/.oracle. I changed the ownership of this directory and it's contents to oracle:dba and the lsnrctl start came up fine....
