Hey gurus,
I just wanted to know if there are any special considerations to performing hot backups (archive logging )  in a multimaster environment. We are using Oracle 7.3 on Digital UNIX . Right now we do not have archiving on. What I wanted are any experiences, thoughts from you guys as to what (if any) precautions, considerations I could take into planning and implementation JUST BECAUSE I AM IN AN REPLICATED ENVIRONMENT. I have done hot backups before and I am pretty comfortable with the same but this replication thing can be confusing at times.

         Please help.

                          Tapan H Trivedi
