No, I have to go with what the client has bought usually, and I don't have any of the 3rd party tape systems on my own HP.

I've always thought that the idea looked really good in theory (rather like the backup manager in Sybase system X but don't tell anyone that).

I would have thought that it could work really well as a painless and very low cost way of backing up a large database with a relatively small area of change.

Any real experiences from any one out there ?
